We are currently seeking a proficient Inventory Management System Maintenance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and optimization of our existing inventory management system. Your primary objective will be to ensure the system's reliability, performance, and alignment with evolving business needs.
- System Maintenance:Conduct regular audits and assessments of the inventory management system to identify and address any technical issues, bugs, or performance bottlenecks.
Collaborate with internal IT teams or external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues in a timely manner, minimizing downtime and disruptions.
Implement software updates, patches, and enhancements to improve system functionality, security, and user experience. - Data Management:Oversee the integrity and accuracy of inventory data stored within the system, including part numbers, quantities, locations, and transaction history.
Perform routine data maintenance tasks, such as data cleansing, deduplication, and archival, to optimize database performance and storage efficiency.
Generate and analyze reports on inventory metrics and KPIs to identify trends, discrepancies, or areas for improvement. - User Support and Training:Provide technical support and assistance to end-users encountering issues or requiring guidance on system usage, functionality, or troubleshooting procedures.
Develop and deliver training materials and sessions to educate users on best practices for utilizing the inventory management system effectively and efficiently. - System Integration and Upgrades:Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to integrate the inventory management system with other business systems, such as ERP or CRM platforms.
Evaluate and recommend system upgrades or enhancements based on evolving business requirements, technological advancements, or industry best practices.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience in maintaining and supporting inventory management systems or similar enterprise software applications.
- Proficiency in database management and SQL queries, with experience working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently and efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
